Blankets\u00a0of Blessing 2025

THANKFUL<\/strong>\u200b<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are so THANKFUL for every individual, business, and ministry that contributed to this year\u2019s Blankets of Blessing celebration. We served 435 individual family members from our local community during two sessions, including those from deaf, Hispanic, Zomi, Russian, and African populations. We had drawings for 48 brand new bicycles, 8 new scooters, baby Disney Princess dolls, Lego sets, and many quality educational toys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you gave financially, contributed toward gift baskets, selflessly gave by volunteering your precious time and talents, provided a friendly smile, an encouraging word, a song or carol, a kind service or were behind the scenes in preparation toward serving the families who were our guests, we are genuinely thankful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whatever your role, your contribution resulted in children and their parents\/guardians feeling valued and loved during a season that can be emotionally and financially stressful for many.<\/p>\n\n\n

Heather, a new Blankets of Blessing volunteer and one of our agency leaders said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat a perfect name to your event. I felt like a blankets of blessings had covered me the day of the event. My heart was fulfilled in a way that made me feel the joy of the season and also the hope, kindness, and connectivity between people. As I walked around, I noticed all the smiles. I saw families engaging with each other and members of their table. I noticed other volunteers and their families. Truly, everyone looked happy to be there!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One mom remarked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe loved Blankets of Blessing! It was so much fun! Thank you!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another young single mom stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI felt important. I didn\u2019t feel like someone (was) just handing me gifts and wanting me to leave.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

  • \u201cI loved getting to talk to complete strangers. Normally (this) is out of my comfort zone, but\u00a0the atmosphere of the room and the events gave me courage to step out. My table was\u00a0cheering for each other during the raffle.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cI straight up cried. Cried with tears of happiness. My daughter won a bike. She was so\u00a0happy! A volunteer touched my shoulder with tears in her eyes telling me how happy she was\u00a0for us.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cA mama basket! What the what?!? So grateful!!\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cOMG! All of these coupons (gift cards) means I can take my kiddo for a special treat during\u00a0winter break.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cOh, I see a date night in my future. My husband and I rarely get to go out. We will for sure\u00a0be either going out or doing carryout after the kids go to bed. (From restaurant gift card)\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cIt was so nice getting served and being able to engage with my child. Loved the stickers! I\u00a0felt a real sense of community. It was good for my soul. It didn\u2019t feel like a handout.\u00a0Dignified!\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cWhat a blessing! My child needed a coat. I love the devotional book! My boyfriend and I will\u00a0fill this out together. Thank you!\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cThank you for the mama basket. How sweet of people to think of me.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u201cI found myself cheering for everyone around me to win something.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    Whatever role you played in the great success of Blankets of Blessing 2025, know\u00a0that your life and presence made a lasting impact. This year, grandparents raising\u00a0their grandchildren, a mom battling cancer, and a toddler who was unable to attend\u00a0due to heart surgery (he will receive his gifts when he regains his strength and returns to Tulsa),\u00a0were all direct or indirect participants. Although most of us will never fully know all of\u00a0the challenges faced by those we served, we know your presence and\/or financial\u00a0contribution brought hope, joy, encouragement, and love to the children and their\u00a0families! Thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n
