In 2018, we were excited to increase the outreach to distribute blankets to 29 children, (though blankets were not promised to older siblings, we were fortunate to provide extra blankets generously donated, to these older kids).
In addition, we were able to provide each child with a warm pair of Christmas pajamas, a book, anornament, a nice toy, and a small decorated Christmas tree to take home. Each child made an ornament, those interested participated in face painting, and Santa and Mrs. Klaus were present, once again, to distribute gifts to the children with the help of a few Christmas “Elves.”
Eight children received toddler bikes and/or scooters (4 boys and 4 girls) in a drawing.Parents received gift baskets because of the generosity of local businesses.
In 2018, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” was no longer merely a “wish” but a reality for those precious families!
