National Crochet Month–NatCroMo!

20130318_141424I have had quite a month so far keeping my fingers busy crocheting and having a houseful of company over this past weekend. Crochet saved my sanity this weekend let me tell you!

I have only had a chance to list one new blanket in the Etsy shop

http://www.blanketsofblessing.etsy.com

but I do have a few others to get out there so please bear with me!

I told you earlier that I would give you some ideas of charities to crochet for and I have found some great ones.

1. Precious Preemies Project

http://www.preciouspreemieproject.com

This wonderful charity sends knit and crochet hats to hospitals with NICUs in the United States. Please check them out as this is a worthwhile cause and preemie hats are quick and easy to complete.

2. Binky Patrol

http://www.binkypatrol.org

Their mission statement: All volunteer, national, non-profit organization making and distributing homemade blankets to children born HIV+, drug-addicted, infected with AIDS or other chronic & terminal illnesses, those who are abused, in foster care or experiencing trauma of any kind.
Our recipients are from 0-18.
Most every state has a Binky Patrol branch that you can contact to donate or even be hands on help!

These are both very worthwhile causes so I hope that you will take a few minutes to check out their websites and then get your hooks busy!

I pray that you all have a beautiful day.
Sara
